Introducing Seongsil Nanum Church

Seongsil Nanum Church is a Word-centered, grace-centered community. We believe that worship and life should be shaped by the biblical text itself — not by mood or atmosphere. Through dawn devotions and verse-by-verse Sunday and Wednesday preaching, we read through the whole Bible in order, learning who God is and who we are along the way.

What we hold to — Reformed, Evangelical faith

Seongsil Nanum Church stands on the heritage of the Reformation. We confess the absolute authority of Scripture and an evangelical faith that holds to grace alone, faith alone, and the gospel of Christ alone. Every sermon is preached within the larger flow of redemptive history — from Genesis to Revelation — ultimately pointing to Christ. We welcome those who want to hear not merely "a nice message" but what the text itself actually says.

The Word for the whole of life

Career and finances, relationships and decisions, the balance between work and faith — these questions follow us through every season of life. Seongsil Nanum Church wants to be a community that does not avoid them. Rather than offering sentimental comfort, we believe the most honest help we can give is to read Scripture together and ask what it actually says to that place in life. Whether you have walked with the Lord alone for years or are visiting a church for the first time, you are welcome to start with a single dawn devotion, with no pressure at all.

The meaning behind our name

The name "Seongsil Nanum" (성실나눔, "Faithful Sharing") comes from the nine fruits of the Spirit in Galatians 5:22–23 — love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. We believe this fruit is not an achievement of our own effort but grace that the Holy Spirit works within us — and that such fruit should not stay within the church but flow out to our neighbors. True to its name, Seongsil Nanum Church prays to become a community that shares the fruit of grace it has received with its neighbors, and stands before the Word again today.
